Thank you for replying gma45 and Perna. A little reality check, I guess. Perna, you put this in a different way of looking at the bipolar than what I was. I guess I thought I would never have to deal with the symptoms again once I got stable on the meds. But it makes sense about the "illness" concept. Thank you so much for the insight.
