Bad news? It never goes away and most likely, there will still be ups and downs.
Good news? It doesn't have to destroy you. One can get used to it and learn to cope better with their extreme emotions.
It is a false view of recovery... you can never go back to the "normal". One is also affected by the episodes, I view it as mild trauma.
But that does not mean you cannot live your life and be careful in case of episode coming.... so what if it does? One makes it through. You learn to manage and cope. There are good times still. And they make it worthy living.
