Hi LylaJean - fortunately for me, I didn't get morning sickness with either of my 2 pregnancies. If the doctor prescribed this, I'm fairly sure its safe but if you want to wait that's fine. Here's what you can try - keep doing the cracker thing before you get out of bed. Buy some fresh ginger root - peel and slice a 11/2 inch piece and boil on low for 5 mins then add a green tea bag. It can be drank like this, but most people aren't crazy about it. It will feel warm on your throat and is known to be good for nausea. You could make this ahead of time and sweeten it if you like and put it in a water bottle ...drink it cold while at work.
You can also buy ginger capsules but ask your doctor first...I'm sure its fine though. You may be able to find this acupressure wristband that's fits on your wrist like a watch. On the inner wrist, right at the crease where your hand bends...there's a well known point for nausea. You can even press there with your thumb from the other hand - do this on both wrists. Ask your local pharmacy if they have these wrist acupressure bands. Good luck and I hope you'll be lucky and have it subside after the 4th month.

Congratulations again on your pregnancy. Here's a link for the wristband:
