I hope this isn't too triggering. I will try to find the trigger icon just in case.
On the Rooftop
Something pops inside her
There’s a deep compulsion
Almost without thinking
Up the stairwell climbing
Today the door is open
Daylight gently flickers
On the dusty grey walls
Almost at the rooftop
What is waiting for her?
Is this how she ends it?
All she hears is silence
It’s like time itself has stopped
Voices in her head
Playing out the choices
Weighing all the options
Laying out the reasons
Her life flashes before her
What has been the point
So much inner torment
Has there been any joy?
Will anybody miss her?
Is anybody there?
She just wants someone to join her
And teach her how to fly….
