First, I am so sorry - and I've been there - and it's hell. Having bipolar disorder, it was often hard enough just to get myself there in the first place.

One store manager came in and during his first year, somehow found reasons to fire or force out every employee who had been there for seven years, since the store opened.

One restaurant manager expected me to fill in and do my supervisor's job after he quit. I wasn't trained for my supervisor's job, but he still was furious when I made a mistake. As soon as a new supervisor came in, he cut me from 40 hours to 8 hours. Two four-hour days.

Other managers would have treated both of these situations differently. It's entirely a personal thing.

One thing that helped me: when I was at worked and feeling anxious or upset, I would breath in four counts and out eight counts. It did help and no one notices.

Hope you find something better soon. I'll be thinking about you.
