I's such a BS holiday. My broother's birthday was yesterday, my Uncle died three years ago today, and I have to go to work tomorrow 'cuz I agreed to switch days with a coworker so I could have two days off in a row! Ugh, I hate all the Valentine's day CRAP!
Valentines day don'ts: Don't but into the brainwashing commercial making you think you a HAVE to get your sweetie something on Feb.14th or don't think you're a loser cuz you don't have a 'Valentine." It's almost as bad as the tax system. Don't play into it, it's just a marketing holiday for people to waste money less than two months after the monster that is the Christmas holiday! My ex is so sweet, he's coming over 'cuz he wants to bring me some chocolates. It's not in a romantic sense, I think it's sweet, but me, I hate the day, but could'nt help but buy some cute heart cookies, just cuz this is the only time of year such cute cookies are available in such large quantities. I'm a sucker for cute things. But that doesn't make me a supporter of this 'holiday'! I've never liked the holiday, not since I was little anyways, before I really knew what it was all about. I hate the tv commercials, the incessant radio commercials for Diamonds at various jewelry stores, it's so effing annoying, I wish I wasn't working tomorrow, but I'm good at putting on a happy face for other's sake when I'm anything but. I can thank my childhood for that.
