I only agree to an extent, I don't think you should buy your sweetie shiny expensive crap, write them a letter saying all the things you love about them, and your fondest memory you have with them that should be enough and that professes your true love. Also love is thrown around to much even within families, my mom says i love you to me waaay to much and i only say it when i genuinely mean it, and it has made the meaning come back, so yes V-day is over done and over commercialized, but at least you can spend it with someone you really love or do something nice for someone you don't even know, who knows they may have just been dumped or hurt and need a random act of kindeness to help them feel better I don't know you but ill gladly say Happy Valentines Day and if no one else will be kind enough to ask you, you can be my Valentine
