LeafLace~ perhaps try some "era-appropriate" music; mine love the 80's rock, and sometimes I get fascinated by the "Oldies" or the "70's stuff" 
Bmee2~ FancyNancy are bright, sparkley, and adorable book series that I came across in Barnes and Noble for the little ones. They peaked 'everyones' interest.
I picked up the Velveteen Rabbit while there as well, since it's a classic that I don't recall a thing about from childhood. So, will give that a read sometime as well.
