Your post could be an excerpt from my journal. I also get miserable terrible horrible gut wrenching anxiety. And it's become almost every day. I have meds for panic attacks, but if I took them every time I had anxiety in general I'd be drugged out all the time! I'm glad to hear the walking helped you. Walking with my dog helps a tremendous amount, but I'm not always able to stop what I'm doing and walk, so I'm very interested to try ice like Forgive mentioned! I hope others have more advice too. I have my list of "distraction options" but often when the anxiety hits I'm too worried & paranoid feeling to get myself to actually do anything more than walk!!
