I really don't know. I can tell you that I am on effexor and I have attacks of tachycardia and preventricular contractions, and they put me on effexor XR to help with the panic attacks I was getting because of it(though I always had panic attacks, i hadnt had the palps and racing heart until last year, and because panic was triggering it/was triggering panic, it was decided meds would be best. I was having four to five attacks a week, sometimes more.)

As far as breathlessness, it could be that your circulation is not up to par. This can happen if you are overweight, if you are vitamin deficient, if you are flusish or any other number of small, inane things like that. It could be your heart, though my cardiologist said alot of times panic or anxiety can cause the same thing. It could be the medication too.
