I understand this SO well at the mo Estee. My nurse is on at me every week to join different groups and go out and do different things, just to meet ppl and have something to do. She suggested even going into the lounge at the local mental health day centre (where I go to the gym) after a session and talk with ppl but I am too scared to. It is hard enuf getting out of the house in the 1st place. I did have a break thru last week tho- I went to a music and mvmt session with my no2. I used to attend with no1 and it WAS nice to be back, altho I knew no-one. All the songs were familiar tho and all the parents were friendly.

It is just so hard to break this cycle of depression by getting out of the house and getting involved in things, when these things have become such a huge ordeal and an obstacle that appears unable to be overcome.

Just to let you know that i fully understand how you must be feeling, and that I hope that as says go by things can get better, and that bit by bit you can find the courage and motivation to go out that front door again and overcome your loneliness and despair.
