I understand the no sleep thing. I go for weeks at a time sleeping for less then three hours a night. I know that for me it is stress related. My mind just races when I lay down, about all the things I need to do or how I wasted my day away not accomplishing what I wanted to.
The best advice I can give is that if you can not sleep then don't. I know that sounds stupid but the longer you lay in bed and wish that you could be sleeping the more undue stress you are putting onto yourself. Just get up....drink some warm milk...watch some TV...just relax.
It is better then staring at the ceiling.
