Good for you! I am also a compulsive gambler and have been for the past 15 years. I've now been 8 months clean and although it's been a roller coaster of emotions, guilt and temptation (yes, still!) Eight months ago I somehow found the inner strength to try to move on with my life. It's been a struggle, to say the least, but I'm so tired of giving in to my addiction that I finally made the choice to finally quit hiding behind this horrible habit. You CAN do this if you really want to! It's very, very hard...but I think what really helped me is realising that I was "tired of feeling bad about myself" and I knew that there had to be more to life than hiding behind a machine for hours on end.
