I really don't think anxiety can make you see/hear things. I've spoken to many, many doctors about this (hallucinating is one of my fears, after all.), read many books... All of them say it's impossible.
However, anxiety does make your senses extremely sensitive, so much so that a noise someone would normally pay no attention to would seem very loud to you. Noises louder, lights brighter, spots in your eyes (or 'floaters') seem more like 'shadows'.
Who knows.
