Migraine runs in the family and we have these really good pills for them but yesterday was a total crisis that could very well happen again but I need to know how to treat it if it does. It was a debate tournament and a migraine attack hit me full force. It was HORRIBLE. I was barely coherent during my rounds and completely blew my chances of going to nationals this year. I couldn't focus on anything, everything hurt. Even talking softly hurt and between rounds I was huddled up hiding my eyes . My coach and other teachers aren't permitted to give any meds so I couldn't even try, and he was really busy all night so I couldn't tell him what was wrong. I was seriously stranded. It's moments like these that I need to know something I can do to ease the pain, I try massaging my head but it really doesn't do much. ugh it was just horrible and I feel so drained today because of it even though it's over. Does anyone have any similar experience or tips to do when you're somewhere or in a situation where you just have to stick up with it or just don't have meds available (maybe some home remedies, things to distract yourself, etc) I don't know, I'm just afraid because I never know when moments like these are gonna hit.
