You are NOT a "bad person all around" sweetie. You just have the disease of addiction. That doesn't make you bad! That makes you sick.

There are times we have to separate ourselves from our family for our own good. Sometimes they just are NOT healthy for us. This seems to be the case with your sister. She just isn't ready for sobriety evidently. If you want to stay sober, you have to go to any lengths to STAY sober. And if that means staying away from her, then so be it. This is your LIFE we're talking about.

Have you tried any NA meetings? Perhaps they'd do you lots of good, plus you'd meet some friends for support. There isn't much you can do for your sister unless she ASKS for help. She has to want to quit -- if she doesn't want to, she isn't going to. You can't make her quit. NO amount of begging, pleading, etc., is going to get her to stop. Saying some prayers is about all you can do.

I wish you the very best. Take care & God bless. Prayers are coming your way. Hugs, Lee
