Thanks Lynn and Stumpy for pointing out it doesn't matter what the person's sexual orientation has to do with what two friends do for fun.
To theoriginal poster... there's tons of stuff to do that doesn't cost anything. Go somewhere and people watch. You said night time activities... go wander an indoor mall. Doesn't cost a penny to look in windows. Go for a walk in a safe neighborhood. Stay inside and play board games or cards. Depends on where you live maybe wander through an art gallery or museum.
