I like working with hypnosis stuff too. I use it every night to help me sleep. I use hypnosis techniques to help me throughout the day too. Like today I was in a pet shop / petting zoo with some children that I was taking care of today and the guy has out snakes. I hate them things. I kept myself at the edge of the room near the exit and the whole time the guy was talking to the children about the snake he was holding I was listening to the relaxation visualization tape my therapist and I had done during one of my sessions that had progressive relaxation on it. Then when the children had enough of snakes we went and played with the puppies and kittens, rabbits, turtles, farrets and chinchilas. Thanks to relaxation visualizations I stayed completely aware of where I was and my surroundings and didn't have a panic attack.
I also like to use it to remember the good memories that I have forgotten. Though my next step is to take it a step further into accessing the harder memorys I have not done that yet so I don't know my feelings on that angle other than I'm game for trying anything that will help me remember and get rid of my nightmare and flashbacks that match the nightmare. I suspect I probably won't like it so well - I don't like the bad memories normally so that will most likely remain the same even through using hypnotic techniques to obtain access to them.
