I think you have a pretty crappy work place environment if you ask me. I think getting out of there into another job might be a better bet. I mean, I haven't heard/experienced of any places that have "weird, strange behavior of bosses and coworker" relationship/environments. I don't think you need to be afraid to go to another place.
