If your psychiatrist told you to increase if you feel the need to...then I see no reason why you shouldn't. Just remember to try and enforce at least some regularity to the dosage of your medication and time at which you take it.
Please also inform your psychiatrist if you experience and of the following: heart arrhythmia (an irregular heartbeat - look for heart palpitations/flutters); moderate to severe drowsiness; breathlessness or severe headaches. Even though these are rare...I get them a lot on my high dosage of Quitiapine - especially during the first few weeks.
Sometimes you find that if you increase it too quickly, the above side effects actually prevent you from sleeping as well.
