Hi there,
So, I had a job where I had only worked there for 8 months and needed to go to the hospital. I went and was there for almost a month. Even though I didn't qualify for the MFLA (Medical Family Leave Act) the company still adhered to it. Now it wasn't walmart so IDK. You may want to private message onward2wards, he also works for walmart. He may be able to give you some insight into company policy.
You can also make an advance directive before you go. What the advance directive is, is a document that is legally binding to the medical profession that dictates your care. You can put in it that you refuse to go to certain hospitals, refuse certain medication, etc. I've done that and it was a good choice.
I hope you get help before you give in.
