Sorry this happened to you.
When this happens to me it helps me to look for the trigger.
A therapist once told me that hitting rock bottom no matter what, doesn't go from one extreme to the other mentally without a reason or cycle of coming down first before hitting that rock bottom.
She also told me that I may feel there is nothing I can do but stay stuck at rock bottom but ultimately I am the one in control of how I feel.
when at rock bottom I can stay stuck or I can look for the trigger and do what is needed to make myself feel better. Both are conscious choices. and one will lead me back up and the other will bury me. It was up to me which direction I wanted to go.
So now when I hit that rock bottom I look around to find out why and what I need to do to help myself feel better.
In your post you said "something happened" look for that something and that will tell you what you need to do to climb back up.
Hang in there
