I can understand how why you feel lonely. My husband has to travel a lot for his job and I am frequently here alone for 3-4 days at a time. I would not want him to jeopardize his career and a job that he loves just to keep me company. It is just the way things are and I agreed to that when we moved here to a smaller city. I try to stay in touch as best as we can when he is away, usually he calls me but sometimes he cannot for what ever reason. It makes me treasure him when he comes home. The times of love and intimacy are all the better. Being alone is not the end of the world, for me although sometimes it feels like it. The best thing I can do is stay busy with projects or whatever. If I sit and mope about it I really get depressed and feel terrible. I think that finding some other women close by that you can talk to or share with also helps.
