I am so SORRY!! that your family has hurt you so.... I know of this pain first hand and with that knowledge I feel for you. I also know that it is hard to TRUST someone if you feel they are going to be telling another what you have said - but all in all you must talk with your counselor if she is to HELP YOU....
Maybe try asking her what the patient to doctor privacy is when you are a minor - maybe she does not have to tell your parents everything you say. I know when I took my son to see a therapist for his anger after his sister passed away.... she did not inform me of everything that they talked about.... some matters were kept between the two of them, but she did help us all as a Family.
