My in laws are hoarders and happen to state any chance how they never judge others yet happen to be very unhappy judgmental elders. My mil will make snide passive remarks any chance she can about any topic & i have had to bite my tongue many times for the sake of keeping peace. We rarely if ever go to their home because of the conditions & smell, as well as dangers that lurk in tipping piles. Apparently they have an old family friend that is coming over today & would like us to join since he wants to see our son. I can't stand the house and the smell, not to mention the less then enjoyable people. It's not that I don't want to be nice to them it's that I'm a terrible liar & it wears on my expressions when I'm feeling distaste making them very aware of my inability to be sincere. Yet she will cry & cry about the conditions of the home & is overly emotional will cry at the drop of a hat, I've wanted to look at her & tell her to get it together!! Maybe I'll just find a way out of today's visit...not feeling in the mood.
