I was thinking about why people would want DID. Out of all illnesses. And then I think, they don't want REAL DID, they want the hollywood version, that attracts all the attention. I mean there's been 100s of films and shows made on OUR illness and 95% of them have no truth to them whatsoever. It makes me most angry because if they want DID so badly at least take the crappy parts of it too. The sleepless nights. The never knowing who you are. That feeling like your physically crawling out of your skin.

The worry over whether another part will harm you, or do something you wouldn't do. It's like someone dressing up as me and streaking down the streets. Everybody points and says "Lydia that was you". And then you have to take responsibility for it, because well it was your body. Apologizing for stuff you have no control over. The total lack of control in general. O and the part where you get called a liar because you DON'T look like the hollywood version. Or you get called a liar, because doctors only choose to look at hollywood versions and call it bologna. So you walk around with this massive red "X" on your forehead.

Knowing you're sane, but everyone thinks your crazy. We adapted. We're not crazy. We're creative, we're intelligent. Whatever you want to call it. But we're not crazy. If put in our situations, would they have been able to survive like us?
