The neighbors across my back yard cut down a tree I loved in their back yard. It depressed me to have it gone and everything is all cement in my yard and there's no nature for me to enjoy except some ivy.
So, I decided to get a bunch of planters and make a garden to enjoy. I had no gardening experience but decided to try it anyway-if it failed I would get fake plants to put out there. I put a bunch of plants and flowers back there and it looks so colorful and bright and it's really pretty to look out the window and see.
I only get one hour of direct sun in my back yard a day. I go out to sit back there to soak it in and I enjoy being surrounded by all my plants and little ceramic garden animals I decorated the plants with.
I put up bird feeders and my yard is now active with all these little birds (I don't know what kind they are) I put up those fake garland of flowers on poles, drain spout and on the bars on my windows. I covered my gate door with a flowery shower curtain to hide the trash in the alley and for privacy.
I even put in a little pool that me and dogs slosh around the water in.
Sometimes when I close my eyes while sitting back there I can actually believe for a few seconds that I'm in a nice wooded area with lots of birds and a pond.
So, WHY do some cats have to come along and knock down and break my ceramic animals and %#@&#! and poop in my planters?
I know it's really stupid to get upset over but I can't help it. I'm really bummed out about this.
I called the SPCA and PETA but they both said that they don't collect stray cats unless the cats are already in containers. Duh! How the heck am I supposed to put them in containers when I don't have any containers and I wouldn't know how to get them in there if I did? They hide in crevices of houses that I can't reach and I don't know if they got rabies. There are 6 cats back there that I know of and they're all skinny, scrawny and sickly looking. I'm not touching them.
I always donate money to these dog/cat charities and they can't help me out with this?
I put a bunch of those shiny stones in the planters and I hope that works in keeping the cats from going to the bathroom in them. I can't do anything about them breaking my ceramic animals. I'll just have to go out and buy some plastic ones.
