Well, perhaps one thing to consider is that he didn't say "YOU are the most insane..."

He was referring to a thought in your head. It's a whole different thing.

I don't know about you, but I will readily admit that some of the thoughts I have in my head are, in fact, utterly insane. I also sometimes don't even realize how skewed they actually are until someone, usually my therapist, points them out to me.

I know it can hurt to hear it. No one wants to hear that their thoughts are insane. As your therapist indicated though, sometimes a push can help us wake up and see things in a wholly different light.

I mean, that's kinda why we go to therapy right? maybe?
