If it messes with your metabolism, it is not a "lame excuse". Yes, for some it may be reasonable trade-off, but for some it is not.

It's not just weighting more. Feeling exhausted will not help one's well being, especially if their lifestyle is somehow active normally. Feeling constantly hungry will not contribute to one's well being... and if you are eating balanced and feel starving, then it is pretty much signal from the body that something ain't right.

Can you call this state of mind, when person is exhausted, feels like they are starving and feel bad about their body image... that it is well? ****, the stupid "fat and happy or skinny and sad" dichotomy.

And just because doctors shrug off one's complains out of their laziness and incompetence does not mean we all should follow that advice....
