Considering the character of Richard and the message portrayed in his quote, I think it should be apparent.

But for those unfamiliar with Richard, it's just a fancy way of saying "wolf in sheep's clothing"...

The second quote means, "We are but dust and shadow." It's from Horace's Diffugere Nives.
