I mean no offense by this post... But the following passages may be controversial. Reader discretion adviced. Politics and radical sociology mentioned.
So you probably seen me talking about Icarus Project, which prides itself as being a radical MH community, not just in approach on mental health, but life in general.
I wonder if slight (or not so slight) tendency towards anti-mainstream ideologies is part of diagnostic labels (I know not officialy, but on personal level perhaps?).
I had a bit of anarchist edge since like... kindergarden. And that was when we called teachers comrade... and even back then I did sometimes doubt their rules made sense. I was really really into the whole velvet revolution and not just because my parents were. I beat up one kid for being a communist (they did claim so lol).
I wanted to be a dissindent or a politician to make major major changes....
And the thing is... I never grew up from this. I studied politics extensivelly and yet, it only coins in my radical edge. I see problem with society, I always did, even as a child.
Are you senstive to what is going on around you? Does the world make you sad? Do you feel personally betrayed when something happens somewhere, because you feel it's attack on your personal view of how things should be? Do you feel interconnected with world to the level that it hurts you when there is trouble in remote parts of the planet?
(don't suggest to turn off the news. It won't work. I will still see the problems out there and know they are there).
