Our oldest rat terrier, Taz, has been very comforting as well these past couple days. He lies next to me as I'm taking a nap, and once in awhile, he'll scrub my face and eyes. Of course, during this time, I'm 'his' momma, and nobody else's, so I'll hear the occasional growl if one of the other pups comes near. Makes me feel pretty special, lemme tell ya.
