You can also get a 'benign' rash (not SJS) with Lamictal (actually with any of the anti-convulsants). I believe up to 10% of people who take lamictal get some kind of rash, but only something like 0.1% get SJS. Which is still a lot, considering you can die from SJS.

The risk of SJS is one of the main reasons my p-doc doesn't want to try me on lamictal. I've had rashes on other medications, which increases my chance of having a rash (and SJS) on lamictal.
