I'm not big into cars, obviously, but they are pretty to look at.

I was not knocking the Continental, nice car actually, the Phaeton itself was a superior piece of kit, but a marketing disaster. The advantage of the German ownership for both marks has been that have been brought up to thoroughly modern engineering standards and more consistant reliabilty. The British get to do what the British do best, wool, wood and dead cowskins, but is now backed up by more robust German engineering.

If however you are wanted to take extra people would'nt the Flying Spur, which has 4 doors, a lot more room and most of the same performance capabilities be more suitable? Just Curious
My father is considering buying a long wheel base Rolls Royce Phantom which has bags of room for passengers, "suicide rear doors" haha, but we do have a Chrysler for ferrying clients around, the reason being economics. Three years ago like all British firms we suffered during the global financial crisis and had to pull the horns in. Chrysler perfectly fitted our financies while keeping our starchy old accountant from throwing a moult, bless her.

The Phantom is being considered, but is out of my hands. I am only an executive administrator so cannot pop down to Bentley's with a wad of cash and buy on an unlimited budget. I would like to! As for me I'll upgrade my Bentley later, but keep it for personal use.

I suppose there always has been a patriotism in my country for all things "British" as German ownership of Bentley was abhorred. But, Bentley's chairman and executives thought it more viable the Germans took their company over. But Bentley will always be thought of as a British car, whatever.

That Ariel Atom. And Jeremy Clarkeson's face. Hilarious!
