Before my urologist ruled out my condition I had similar to yours a few years ago they did several tests, a cystoscope (ouch), then something other in the hospital where I had to drink a load of water(and "hold" it), then they injected a radioisotope (dye) in my arm and did some type of x-rays of some sort, plus they did tissue samples and urine samples to rule out cancer (was upsetting when they lost the samples and I had to do them over and wait all over again for results).
After all this stuff was negative they tried meds. to help but I did not like the side effects and in time the nervous or irratable bladder calmed down. They feel it all was triggered from the original UTI I had but was entirely gone but left my bladder inflamed cause I was always having blood cells in my urine (non visible), there had been times when it was so visible it looked as if someone poored blood in the toilet

Thank God that is all in my past. Be sure you see an urologist besides your general practioner, a GP is okay but you should see an urologist.
