So I talked with my pdoc, I am definitely bipolar. He is so great, he answers all my questions, even the ones I haven't asked. It turns out I haven't seen him in person since October, but have been emailing him off and on.

It's been three and 1/2 months since I lowered my zyprexa, so we are lowering it again to 1.25 mg. I am SO excited!

We talked about alot of things. I brought up wanting to get off them eventually, and he gave me advice on how to do that, though he said nowadays its not something he would normally advise because of the health risks involved. I decided that life's too short not to take risks, I'm going to go off them, but very slowly. We talked about other meds and I told him the lithium and zyprexa are working great and I don't want to change them. He also warned me not to change meds in the middle of big decisions like changing careers or buying an apartment. I am hoping to get a job soon, so I am going to take extra precautions in monitoring any changes.

All in all I feel wonderful and I am so excited that my doctor is willing to help me through it all.
