I understand about being BPD. I understand how you can go so long w/o doing self harm and then you start again.
I had stopped for many years but as I began going through the abuse when I was little and some other things I deal with in present day life I began to self harm again too.
Just try to do something altarnatively. Listen to your Ipod, color, snap a rubber band around your wrist, hold icecubes, journal....something to take your mind off of hurting yourself.
