Yeah, Stargazer - I guess that's my opinion, too. I had a stepkid for 6 years, and we simply didn't get cable TV, and where we lived, we got NO reception without cable so it was really a nonissue.

Heh - for some reason, this reminds me of a Bill Cosby quote: "there is a time and a place for everything, and it's called College". I don't know if the concern here is about how TV influences kids, but I'm not much of a sheltering mindset.
