Acupressure can also be done at home, as opposed to acupuncture. It has a soothing effect but it's not as direct. I use it on my boyfriend sometimes due to the pain from his back injuries, along with massage. I'm no expert, but there are a LOT of good resources online that you can try yourself. Or have a good friend with strong hands do some reading & help you out, free of charge! Hopefully, if that has any slight success, it will be something to hold you off in the worst of times until you can afford a professional treatment!
