This is my life's story.... It sucks, but it's true. I'm addicted to dreaming (so much better than reality). I have extreme motivation issues, and will not get out of bed for so long usually. I sleep an average of 12-16 hours a night depending on what's going on, less if I absolutely have to but it's completely terrible and I will crash and burn if I have to do it for more than a few days in a row. It feels like one of many things controlling my life. Even caffeine doesn't work!
They have sleeping pills but not awake pills... *sigh* And I don't recommend the 8 hour energy shots at the gas station.
One thing I have found that helps keep me up is TV. A real-life dreaming thing I think. And water. Drinking water can help sometimes (I'm usually dehydrated)
