So a few months ago I posted about deciding to switch pdocs to one closer to home. Just wanted to give an update on that. So far, so good. The new pdoc kept me on the same meds, though he has a different opinion on my diagnosis, though he hasn't officially changed it yet. As he puts it, my current diagonsis of Psychotic Disorder NOS isn't really a diagnosis and means "You're psychotic, but I have no clue why." He seemed to hint at schizophrenia instead, but then ruled it out after asking a few more questions. Then he suggested delusional paranoia, but then said he wasn't going to change anything yet. That was at my visit in January. At the end of that visit he said come back in 6-8 weeks (this was a surprise to me as my old pdoc wanted to see me monthly). I had my 2nd visit about 2 or 3 weeks ago and he seemed to think I was pretty stable, as he told me to come back in 3 months. I'm just a little worried now as I have never gone that long without a check-in on my meds. Any thoughts on this?
In other news my psychologist kind of "knows" my new pdoc and something I told her 2 weeks ago, she asked if I would be willing to tell my pdoc it...I said I was too scared to. She asked if she could tell him for me and I told her she could. I don't know if she did or not. I see her again Tuesday. I haven't gotten a call or anything from my pdoc if she did tell, unless he is waiting till my next visit?
Argh, so nerve-wracking.
