HI. My name is Lia.
The way that you are describing your symptoms do remind me a lot of myself. Keep in mind that i'm not a doctor and there are many different types of bilpolar, some more severe than others. Either way though, this mood disorder is dangerous. I get hypomanic (less severe than manic). When i slip into this mood, I have acceess energy and start to feel really good. Then I get extreamily irritably, anxious and I pick fights. Of course, when i'm "high", it means i'm going to "crash" into this aweful depressed feeling. I feel like there's no point to anything I do and no point to life at all. I'm sorry that your parents are not being supportive of this. A mood disorder is treatable but there are parts about it that are beyond your control. Medication has really helped me feel 98 percent better. Perhaps you could find a counselor to talk to. I find it's easier to talk to counselors and perhaps they can direct you elsewhere. Best of luck with this and I hope you feel better soon!
