Hi Mary Alice,

Yeah, I know sometimes therapists and mental health folks sometimes have rules about how they stay in contact after you start making a transition..... (((((Mary Alice))))). That sounds really hard there, and I'm sorry.

I am allowed to email my former counselor at this point, and that is okay with him, although he didn't respond when I was a client and I gather he won't be responding now...I'm not exactly sure about that or how it is working. He left it a bit undefined. I think that he will probably talk with the new counselor once I get connected with one, and if they say I need to stop contact for awhile, I guess I will do that, although that would be hard. I understand the reasoning though. Hopefully after a year or so, I could be in touch at least occasionally with my former counselor. We went through too much together to fall out of contact permanently. We both would like to stay in touch, although it's still not clear to me how that is happening.

Thinking of you, Mary Alice, and thanks for the note.

Take care,
ErinBear
