I can sympathise with the terrifying suggestion of child being put into care for his/her own good, so to speak. You may not have read my posts, but my 6yo is in care, only this time for the safety of my 22th old. My 6yo was throwing chairs, coffee tables, phones- anything near her at not just me but no2 also. The last straw was when she threw her moneybox out her window- without opening the window 1st- coz I was holding the bedroom door shut just to keep some space between her and no2 while she was in this rage. It is a truely hard thing to even contemplate, but sometimes it is the best for everyone, even if it is just a 'breather' for a week or 2. The separation is causing me more probs than ever- my PTSD is caused by grief/loss esp around no1- but she is a lot calmer and doing a lot better with this 'breather'. I wish you all the best, and hopefully it won't come to this for you...
