This isn't something new which is why I didn't post this in Current Events. Some of the common name brand companies sell lipstick with lead in it. The government doesn't allow it in paint or gasoline but its fine to put it in lipstick or costume jewelery too. True we don't eat it but we still ingest it when we're eating or licking our lips.

Consumers do have power - refusal to buy products with harmful ingredients and emailing or writing these multimillion dollar companies. I'm fairly sure its also in other cosmetic products but I'll research it.
