Well, I am not a specialist in interpreting dreams, actually Perna is really good at that, I love reading her explainations here sometimes, she is amazing.
My neice has a son that has Asbergers and she knows a lot about Autism/Asbergers.
And one day I was talking to her and she told me that we all have a degree of Autism in us, we are all on the scale, and I didn't know that. It is just that some people have a higher degree of it and as it starts out being diagnosed as autism as children gets older they are then often diagnosed with Asbergers.
Now, I am definitely not an authority on this at all. And as I said my neice has no choice but to learn about this and yes new information is coming out all the time about it as well.
I think what it boils down to Silent is from what I have learned in my life thus far, listening to parents, well unless they are specialists, they only specialize in THEIR opinion which sometimes can be way off and even dismissing. And we have to pay attention to what we know about ourselves and take it upon ourselves to seek professional help. However, that is not always a gaurantee of the correct diagnosis so we have to again take it upon ourselves to get other opinions as well. To err is human and yes, sometimes the professionals even miss things. I know that happened to me and I have come to learn the hard way, be your own advocate and keep asking and investing in your efforts to learn about yourself.
