On Feb 13th I was diagnosed, again, with ADD. This time I decided to try meds. Vyvanse was too expensive so that wasn't an option. I was prescribed generic Adderall (d-amphetamine salt combo/MFG Core Pharma) 20mg twice daily. At first it seemed like something was working but then after a week I felt like I was taking a sugar pill. It was unreal. I even took 2 at once and it just made my heart race but then nothing...

Then I started taking it and FALLING ASLEEP. What? Seriously. This afternoon, just to test the theory and because I need to get more Ritalin, 3rd drug in the trial, I took 60mg of this generic Adderall and FELL ASLEEP. What the hell...

So now my psych gave me 4 scripts for Ritalin that are a week long each. He told me to try different pharmacies for different drug manufacturers. It's weird how all that works...I didn't know there was such a difference in name brand and manufactorer.

So brand name Adderall...that works better for some? I had to buy the name brand Vyvanse and it worked but was so expensive so I'm thinking that Adderall may work for me if it's REAL Adderall. I don't know. But from what I'm hearing you guys say, there is a noticeable difference in brand name ADD meds and generics.
