Goodness, 'manipulative' seems to have become PC's favourite new word.

Again, why 'manipulative'? What is underhand about this idea? The poster wrote about openly and transparently asking T to quit their job and live with them. The T is free to say yes or no. There is no implied attempt to obtain what they want by controlling the T or using underhand methods.

Asking for what you want is not manipulative!
