Yeah, my husband knows I post on " some mental health self- help forum" but, I keep my posts, username, and the specific website to myself. That way, I can feel confident that anything I choose to share here, including personal relationship issues, will be seen by me only. It's not that I am ashamed as such, or feel scared to show him, I just know if I did share the exact site or my username, I would start automatically censoring myself in fear of writing anything he might read and feel hurt or embarrassed by. Most guys are way more nervous about sharing personal details with strangers than most women are. If I were in your situation, where trust and previous experience are a factor, I might print out a page of one of the forum threads, cutting off the PsychCentral logo and URL if you're a self- censorer like me, and show him that, saying you wanted to share it with him to protect the trust you've built...he'll probably be stoked you were considering him enough to proactively share like that.
