I am guessing that it is to be read "reasonably convenient" vs "inconvenient".

If you have other things going on in yr week, and it would be hard to shuffle them, you may find it very inconvenient to reschedule;
if you have something going on internally, or IRL, and really need to see T as soon as possible, it may be very inconvenient to reschedule.

IDK, seems like a respectful way to put it. Sometimes the PC people wonder at being cancelled and ask, doesn't T have any idea what it does to me when i get cancelled? Yours does seem to have a clue there.
